Postdoc (m/f) - Neurobiology

For the project B03 ("Functional Adjustment of Neural Circuits: Tonotopic Gradients of Timeprocessing Auditory Brainstem Neurons", headed by PD Dr. Ursula Koch and Prof. Christian Leibold) of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center 870, PD Dr. Ursula Koch is seeking for a

Postdoc candidate.

Area of research:
The project is about the functional interaction of voltage-gated ion channels and synaptic inputs and their role in adaptive processes in binaural auditory brainstem neurons. The experimental work which includes patch-clamp electrophysiology in acute brain slices will be done in close collaboration with theoretical modeling (Prof. Christian Leibold, LMU München). The project will be mostly experimentally; however, further theoretical modeling of the physiological results could be included in the work.
