PhD Position at the Center for Biological Systems Analysis

A PhD Student position (TV-L E13/2) is available at the Center for Biological Systems Analysis (ZBSA, University Freiburg) to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of proteins involved in the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases. In the project advanced live imaging techniques (4D cell culture imaging) will be combined with biochemical sub-fractionation studies. Furthermore, several aspects will be investigated in the genetic model organism C. elegans. The project is part of an interdisciplinary research collaboration between the biological, medical and informatics faculty and will offer excellent opportunities to obtain hands-on expertise in many techniques. You are: A scientist with graduation in biology, biochemistry or molecular medicine with genuine interest in the research topic outlined above. Prior knowledge in molecular biology and protein chemistry or genetics will be advantageous.
