postdoctoral researcher (f/m) with laboratory experience in genomics or molecular genetics
Your tasks:
Our research objectives include projects in molecular genetics and epigenomics (miRNA regulation, methylation) in the field of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Parkinson’s disease pathogenesis. The applicant will exploit the large DNA - and biomaterial bank localized at the Ulm University Neurology Department. In addition, we seek to further investigate respective genetic findings into cell biological models and mouse genetics.
Your profile:
We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist and good team player with a PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree in genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology or related field awarded within the last 5 years who would like to benefit from an attractive scientific environment in the South of Germany, where a young and exciting neurobiological scientific community has emerged. Experience in molecular genetic studies including respective bio-informatic evaluation is mandatory, experience in high-throughput sequencing and knowledge in molecular biology techniques would be advantageous.
